Joseph Impellizeri is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a broad and meaningful career in healthcare, shaped by years spent at the patient bedside in emergency medicine and inpatient psychiatry. These early experiences gave him firsthand insight into how deeply mental and physical health influence each other—and ignited a passion for providing care that honors the whole person, not just their symptoms.

Today, Joseph primarily provides outpatient psychiatric care, where he focuses on thoughtful medication management and collaborative, personalized treatment planning. His approach is rooted in the belief that emotional wellbeing, physical health, lifestyle habits, and life circumstances all intersect. Because of this, he takes an integrated approach, working with patients to understand the full context of what they’re experiencing and helping them make informed choices that support both mental and physical healing.

In addition to his outpatient practice, Joseph continues to moonlight as a PMHNP at Yale New Haven Hospital, ensuring he stays connected to the fast-paced, acute side of psychiatric care. This ongoing involvement strengthens his ability to recognize early warning signs, support patients through complex challenges, and bring a comprehensive clinical perspective to his work.

Kelly is a former college athlete turned dietitian with experience working with professional sports, private practice, and functional health. She will be helping Joe out with all the behind the scenes work and will probably be answering your texts + emails! Practice Manager

Tracy is the Practice Manager at Renewal Psychiatry. She helps patients with the intake process, scheduling, insurance/billing, and any questions they may have!
