Appointments
Sessions are by appointment only. Initial appointments are scheduled for 75 minutes, with standard follow ups being scheduled for 30 minutes. The 45 minute follow-up times are limited so please coordinate with a team member if you feel the additional time is needed in your case. If we are unable to accommodate we will assist in providing an additional therapy referral. We offer Telehealth services through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. All intake forms must be completed prior to the first appointment.
Cancellations and No Shows
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or missed appointments will result in a $75 fee.
Communication
For scheduling or routine messages, please message (860) 809-3725 or reach out via email. If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Fees & Insurance
We are accepting insurance for new patients CT patients with Anthem BCBS, Optum, United Health Care, Oscar, Oxford, Aetna, and Cigna. For NJ patients we are accepting Horizon BCBS, Cigna, and Aetna at this time. We also offer self pay. Please reach out to your insurance provider to get coverage details. We require a credit card on file which will be used as a method of payment for balances and charges for which your insurance company considers your financial responsibility. Patients can expect to be billed on the day of service. If you go over your allotted appointment time you will be charged accordingly. Please see your signed agreement for rates as these have changed over time. If you agreed on rate is lower than current listed rates, your rate will be honored.
Forms and Paperwork
Will only be considered for established patients under the care of Renewal Psychiatry for at least 6 months. Requests for administrative paperwork such as FMLA forms, disability documentation, or accommodation letters are not billable to insurance and will incur an additional fee. Please allow 5-10 business days for completion. FMLA or disability forms: $75| Accommodation letters: $50
Prescription Refills
Please fill out the 'Prescription Request' form on the homepage of our website for a refill request. Please request medication refills at least 3 business days in advance. We do not process refill requests after hours, on weekends, or during holidays.
